The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, David Christopherson, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Malcolm Allen, Jay Aspin, Joyce Bateman, Lysane Blanchette-Lamothe, Hon. Gerry Byrne, David Christopherson, Earl Dreeshen, Matthew Dubé, Bryan Hayes, Daryl Kramp and Andrew Saxton.

 

Acting Members present: Stella Ambler for Bev Shipley.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jeff Graham, Analyst; Alex Smith, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Office of the Auditor General of Canada: Nancy Cheng, Assistant Auditor General; Louise Bertrand, Principal; Tammy Squires, Principal. Treasury Board Secretariat: Jim Ralston, Comptroller General of Canada; Tom Scrimger, Assistant Comptroller General, Financial Management & Analysis; Sylvain Michaud, Executive Director, Policy and Liaison. Department of Finance: Doug Nevison, Director, Fiscal Policy Division, Economic and Fiscal Policy Branch.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the Committee commenced consideration of the Public Accounts of Canada 2011 referred to the Committee on Thursday, November 3, 2011.
 

Nancy Cheng, Jim Ralston and Sylvain Michaud made statements and, with Doug Nevison, answered questions.

 

On motion of Earl Dreeshen, it was agreed on division, — That the Committee do now adjourn.

 

At 5:14 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
