The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in a televised session at 4:05 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Scott Andrews, Charlie Angus, Charmaine Borg, Alexandre Boulerice, Brad Butt, John Carmichael, Patricia Davidson, Earl Dreeshen, Pierre-Luc Dusseault and Colin Mayes.

 

Acting Members present: Chris Warkentin for Dean Del Mastro.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Miguel Bernal-Castillero, Analyst; Maxime-Olivier Thibodeau, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada: Suzanne Legault, Information Commissioner of Canada; Layla Michaud, Director General, Corporate Services Branch.

 
Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, February 25, 2013, and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2013-14: Vote 40 under JUSTICE.
 

The Chair calls Vote 40 under JUSTICE.

 

Suzanne Legault made a statement and, with Layla Michaud, answered questions.

 

Vote 40 under JUSTICE carried.

 

The Chair calls Vote 20 under PARLIAMENT.

 

Vote 20 under PARLIAMENT, carried.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Votes 40 and 45 under JUSTICE, Votes 15 and 20 under PARLIAMENT and Vote 45 under TREASURY BOARD, less the amounts voted in Interim Supply, to the House.

 

At 4:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
