The Standing Committee on International Trade met at 11:01 a.m. this day, in Room 268, La Promenade Building, the Chair, the Hon. Rob Merrifield, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Ron Cannan, Raymond Côté, Hon. Wayne Easter, Russ Hiebert, Ed Holder, Gerald Keddy, Brian Masse, Hon. Rob Merrifield, Ève Péclet, Mathieu Ravignat, Bev Shipley and Devinder Shory.

Acting Members present: Stella Ambler for Ed Holder.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Chief, Macroeconomics and Trade ; Alexandre Gauthier, Analyst.

Witnesses: Centra Industries Inc.: Jacques Bonaventure, Director Business Development. Koss Aerospace : Brent Howatt, Director of Sales. Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada: Yuen Pau Woo, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, the Committee resumed its study of the Trade Commissioner Service.

Jacques Bonaventure and Brent Howatt, by videoconference from Mississauga, Ontario, made statements and answered questions.

At 11:59 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Yuen Pau Woo, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:47 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:48 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the Analysts for a report

At 12:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
