The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Greg Kerr, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Eve Adams, Sean Casey, Corneliu Chisu, Richard M. Harris, Greg Kerr, Wladyslaw Lizon, Ben Lobb, Irene Mathyssen, Peter Stoffer and Brian Storseth.

 

Acting Members present: Dan Harris for Réjean Genest and Mathieu Ravignat for Annick Papillon.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Royal Canadian Mounted Police: Daniel Dubeau, Acting Chief Officer, Human Resources; Michael L. Casault, National Executive, Staff Relations Representative Program; Abraham A. Townsend, National Executive, Staff Relations Representative Program; Lynn Lemieux, Acting Director General, Occupational Health and Safety Branch. RCMP Veterans' Association: William Gidley, Executive Director.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 24, 2011, the Committee resumed its review of the delivery of front-line health and wellbeing services for Canadian Veterans.
 

Daniel Dubeau, Michael L. Casault and William Gidley made statements and, with Abraham A. Townsend and Lynn Lemieux, answered questions.

 

At 5:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:04 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

At 5:19 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

 

At 5:25 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
