The Standing Committee on Natural Resources met in camera at 9:04 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Leon Benoit, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Mike Allen, David Anderson, Hon. Navdeep Bains, Leon Benoit, Paule Brunelle, Nathan Cullen, Richard M. Harris, Russ Hiebert, Hon. Geoff Regan, Devinder Shory and Alan Tonks.

 

Acting Members present: Gérard Asselin for Claude Guimond and Cheryl Gallant for Russ Hiebert.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Analyst; Mohamed Zakzouk, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite additional witnesses on the study of the Status of the Emergency Response to Offshore Oil and Gas Drilling on June 15 and June 17, 2010 and, that the meetings on June 8 and June 10, 2010, deal with consideration of the draft report on the study of the Status of the NRU Reactor and the Supply of Medical Isotopes.

 

It was agreed, — That the Clerk circulate the current list of proposed witnesses to all members later this day.

 

It was agreed, — That the Parties submit their prioritized list of witnesses to the Clerk by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010.

 

It was agreed, — That one of the two meetings scheduled on the study of the Status of the Emergency Response to Offshore Oil and Gas Drilling be a single panel of six witnesses for two hours and, that the other meeting have eight witnesses for two one hour panels of four each.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on March 16, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of the Status of the NRU Reactor and the Supply of Medical Isotopes.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

At 10:58 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
