[English]

Good morning. Honourable members, I see a quorum. We are gathered here today to elect the chair. I'm ready to receive any motions in that regard.
    Mr. Casson.
    I nominate Ms. Hoeppner.
It has been moved by Mr. Casson that Ms. Hoeppner be elected chair of the committee. Are there any other motions in that regard?
    All in favour? Against?
    (Motion agreed to)
The Clerk: I declare the motion carried and Ms. Hoeppner duly elected chair of the committee.
Before I invite Ms. Hoeppner to take the chair, if it is the will of the committee, I will proceed to the election of vice-chairs.
    Mr. Vellacott.
    I nominate Michael Savage.
    As first vice-chair?
    Yes.
    Are there any other motions?
I appreciate that very much, but I would prefer to nominate Ms. Raymonde Folco for first vice-chair.
Are there any other motions for vice-chair? We're going to proceed in order.
Mr. Vellacott has nominated Mr. Savage.
He withdrew his nomination from the position.
I withdraw that nomination, but I reserve the right to have him nominate me for any other position I may want to seek on the Hill.
No, no, that's not how that works.
