The Standing Committee on Finance met at 3:29 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Robert Carrier, Bernard Généreux, Russ Hiebert, Hon. John McCallum, Hon. John McKay, Ted Menzies, Thomas J. Mulcair, Massimo Pacetti, Daniel Paillé, James Rajotte and Mike Wallace.

Acting Members present: Linda Duncan for Thomas J. Mulcair and Martha Hall Findlay for Massimo Pacetti.

Associate Members present: Steven Blaney.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Monday, April 19, 2010, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-9, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 4, 2010 and other measures.

The witnesses answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee hold meetings on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 and Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

It was agreed, — That the Committee commenced its clause-by-clause study of Bill C-9 on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 3:30 p.m.

At 5:27 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
