The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Robert Carrier, Bernard Généreux, Russ Hiebert, Hon. John McKay, Ted Menzies, Thomas J. Mulcair, Massimo Pacetti, James Rajotte and Mike Wallace.

Acting Members present: Siobhan Coady for Hon. John McCallum and Serge Ménard for Daniel Paillé.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Monday, April 19, 2010, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-9, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 4, 2010 and other measures.

Leah Anderson, Kevin Thomas, Pascale Dugré-Sasseville, Tom McGirr, Philippe Hall, Ron Wall, Claudette Lévesque, Rakesh Patry and Jean-Claude Primeau answered questions.

At 4:44 p.m., Massimo Pacetti took the Chair.

At 5:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
