The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met in camera at 8:48 a.m. this day, in Room C-160, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, Bruce Stanton, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Larry Bagnell, Rob Clarke, Jean Crowder, Earl Dreeshen, Marc Lemay, Yvon Lévesque, Hon. Anita Neville, LaVar Payne, Greg Rickford, Todd Norman Russell, Bruce Stanton and John Weston.

 

Acting Members present: Kevin Lamoureux for Hon. Anita Neville.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: James Gauthier, Analyst; Odette Madore, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of Nutrition North Canada.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "From Food Mail to Nutrition North Canada".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and Analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report supplementary opinions from members of the Committee provided that they are no more than six pages in length and submitted electronically to the Clerk of the Committee no later than Friday, February 25, 2011.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

It was agreed, — That a news release be prepared by the Analyst and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held on the day of tabling of the Committee's report to the House.

 

At 10:52 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
