The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room C-160, 1 Wellington, the Chair, Bruce Stanton, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Larry Bagnell, Jean Crowder, Earl Dreeshen, Shelly Glover, Marc Lemay, Yvon Lévesque, Hon. Anita Neville, LaVar Payne, Todd Norman Russell, Bruce Stanton and John Weston.

Acting Members present: Rod Bruinooge for Rob Clarke.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: James Gauthier, Analyst.

Witnesses: Arctic Co-operatives Limited: Andy Morrison, Chief Executive Officer. Arctic Ventures 2000 Ltd: Kenn Harper, President. First Air: Scott Bateman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Commercial Operations; Bill Thompson, Vice-President, Commercial Operations. Newviq'vi Inc.: Eric Pearson, Owner. North West Company: Michael McMullen, Executive Vice-President, Northern Canada Retail Division.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of Nutrition North Canada.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

On motion of LaVar Payne, it was agreed, — That Canadian North and the Minister of Health be invited to appear before the Committee during its study of Nutrition North Canada.

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
