The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met in camera at 11:07 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Gary Ralph Schellenberger, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Charlie Angus, Rod Bruinooge, Dean Del Mastro, Jacques Gourde, Carole Lavallée, Roger Pomerleau, Pablo Rodriguez, Gary Ralph Schellenberger and Scott Simms.

 

Acting Members present: Jean-Claude D'Amours for Ruby Dhalla, Ed Fast for Nina Grewal, Hon. John McCallum for Ruby Dhalla and Brent Rathgeber for Tim Uppal.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michael Dewing, Analyst; Marion Ménard, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 8, 2009, the Committee resumed its study on cuts to the canadian musical diversity program.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed on division, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report dissenting or supplementary opinions from the Parties provided that they are no more than five (5) pages in length and submitted electronically to the Clerk of the Committee.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

At 12:33 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
