The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 11:00 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Larry Miller, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Alex Atamanenko, Hon. Mark Eyking, Randy Hoback, Larry Miller, Blake Richards, Bev Shipley, Brian Storseth and Francis Valeriote.

Acting Members present: Luc Malo for France Bonsant, Hon. Shawn Murphy for Hon. Wayne Easter, Roger Pomerleau for André Bellavance and Joe Preston for Pierre Lemieux.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on March 5, 2009, the Committee commenced its study of the Potato Cyst Nematode.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
