The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:05 a.m. this day, in the Commonwealth A Room, The Westin Nova Scotian, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Chair, Rob Merrifield, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rick Dykstra, Rob Merrifield, Massimo Pacetti and Thierry St-Cyr.

 

Acting Members present: Gerald Keddy for Ted Menzies, Alexa McDonough for Thomas J. Mulcair and Michael Savage for Hon. John McCallum.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations.
 

The Chairman and several Committee members commemorated the 90th anniversary of the Halifax explosion on December 6, 1917, followed by a minute of silence.

 

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

 

At 9:36 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
