The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in a televised session at 11:01 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Paul Szabo, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Gérard Asselin, Dean Del Mastro, Sukh Dhaliwal, Russ Hiebert, Hon. Charles Hubbard, Carole Lavallée, Pat Martin, Paul Szabo, David Tilson, Dave Van Kesteren and Mike Wallace.

 

Acting Members present: Mike Lake for Mike Wallace, Thomas J. Mulcair for Pat Martin and Hon. Robert Thibault for Glen Douglas Pearson.

 

Other Members present: Brian Murphy, Massimo Pacetti and Lui Temelkovski.

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Julia Lockhart, Committee Clerk. Library of Parliament: Kristen Douglas, Analyst; Nancy Holmes, Analyst. As an individual: Richard Auger, Counsel to Karlheinz Schreiber.

 

Witnesses: As an individual: Karlheinz Schreiber.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 22, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of the Mulroney Airbus Settlement.
 

The question: "That the Committee continue sitting despite the bells." was put and was negatived.

 

At 11:02 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:29 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

David Tilson moved, — That the Committee revert to its regular seven (7) minute and five (5) minute rounds for the questionning of witnesses.

 

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived.

 

The witness made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 1:07 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
