I'd like to call this meeting to order.
This is meeting 26 for the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security. Pursuant to Standing Order 106(4), this is a meeting requested by four members of the committee to discuss hearing witnesses in relation to the study of the report of the commission of inquiry on the events relating to Maher Arar.
Is it the committee's wish that we move in camera for our steering committee portion of this meeting? Are there any objections? Normally we do that.
No objections. Okay, we will then move in camera. We'll give a half a minute here for that to happen.
While they're doing so, I'd like to wish everybody a good holiday. Can I say it's been a joy working with you? It's been very interesting working with all of you.
     It's been a joy. It's been good.
    [Proceedings continue in camera]
