The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 11:08 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Diane Marleau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Omar Alghabra, Hon. Navdeep Bains, Raymond Bonin, Daryl Kramp, Hon. Diane Marleau, James Moore, Richard Nadeau, Peggy Nash, Pierre Poilievre, Louise Thibault and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Olivia Chow for Peggy Nash.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Guy Beaumier, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2006-2007: Vote 95a under CANADIAN HERITAGE; Vote 1a under GOVERNOR GENERAL; Votes 1a and 10a under PRIVY COUNCIL; Votes 1a, 5a and 10a under PUBLIC WORKS AND GOVERNMENT SERVICES; Votes 1a, 2a, 15a, 20a, 27a and 30a under TREASURY BOARD referred to the Committee on October 30, 2006.

Debate arose thereon.

 

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived, by a show of hands: YEAS: 1; NAYS: 10.
