The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met in camera at 3:36 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, John Williams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Odina Desrochers, John Finlay, Paul Forseth, Roger Gaudet, Mac Harb, Gerald Keddy, Steve Mahoney, Philip Mayfield, Val Meredith, Shawn Murphy, Beth Phinney, Tony Tirabassi and John Williams.
Acting Members present: Larry Bagnell for Colleen Beaumier; David Price for Sophia Leung; Joe Jordan for Massimo Pacetti; Pat Martin for Judy Wasylycia-Leis.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Brian O'Neal and Jean Dupuis, Analysts.
The Committee commenced consideration of the notice of motion of Odina Desrochers.
“That the Standing Committee on Public Accounts make an exception to the general practice, and suspend the in camera rule with regard to the scheduled discussions to determine whether or not to adopt the report pertaining to Groupaction.”
After debate, the motion was negatived.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(e), the Committee commenced consideration of a draft report on the Report of the Auditor General of Canada dated May 8, 2002 on Groupaction Communications.
At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
