Wednesday, April 17, 2002
The Sub-Committee on Private Members' Business of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 307, West Block, the Chair, Marcel Proulx, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Marcel Proulx, Gerry Ritz and Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Members present: Paul Crête for Michel Guimond; Yvon Godin for Bill Blaikie.
Other Member present: Rick Borotsik.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: Mauril Bélanger, John Herron, Vic Toews, Francine Lalonde, Francine Lalonde for Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, John Williams, John Williams for Randy White, Bob Mills, Ghislain Lebel, Judy Wasylycia-Leis for Alexa McDonough, Libby Davies, Murray Calder, David Pratt and Jim Pankiw.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference from the
Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs adopted on Wednesday,
February 7, 2001, the Sub-Committee proceeded to select votable items from
bills and motions whose order of precedence has been established on Thursday,
April 11, 2002.
The witnesses made statements and answered
questions.
At 5:52 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 6:50 p.m., the Sub-Committee proceeded to sit “In Camera” to select votable items.
It was agreed, - That Rick Borotsik participate in the proceedings of the Sub-Committee.
At 7:50 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
