Tuesday, January 29, 2002

The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in camera at 9:06 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Vice-Chair, Walt Lastewka, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Larry Bagnell, Bev Desjarlais, Walt Lastewka, Dan McTeague, Andy Savoy, Brent St. Denis and Joseph Volpe.

Acting Member present:  Werner Schmidt for Charlie Penson.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw, Geoffrey P. Kieley and James McQueen, Research Officers.

Pursuant to the Committee's mandate under Standing Order 108(2), Consideration of the Competition Law and Policy.

The Committee proceeded to consider issues and options for the report on Competition Law and Policy.

At 10:55 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
