The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:35 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Scott Brison, Roy CullenKen Epp, Gary Pillitteri, Paul Szabo.

Acting Member present: Antoine Dubé for Yvan Loubier.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its Pre-Budget Consultations. (See Minutes of Proceedings, Tuesday, November 2, 1999, Meeting No. 2).

Peter Smith, Michael Bryan, Denis St. Onge, George Anderson, George Brzustowski and Jim Fox made statements and, with the other participants in the roundtable, answered questions.

At 11:15 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:31 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Francine Ford, Marc Renaud, Tim Broadhead, Louise Robert, Garth Williams, Arthur Carty, Tim Page, Jim Miller and Philip Cockshutt made statements and, with the other participants in the roundtable, answered questions.

At 1:08 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
