Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Gouk (West Kootenay -- Okanagan), seconded by Mr. Konrad (Prince Albert), Bill C-362, An Act to amend the Firearms Act and the Criminal Code (no registration of firearms that are not restricted or prohibited firearms), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Mr. Solomon (Regina -- Lumsden -- Lake Centre), seconded by Ms. Hardy (Yukon), moved, -- That the Bill be now read a second time and refered to the Standing Committee on Industry.

Debate arose thereon.
