Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, the committee resumed its study of the role of McKinsey & Company in the creation and the beginnings of the Canada Infrastructure Bank.

Bill Morneau answered questions.

At 12:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:15 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 13,500, for the study of the role of McKinsey & Company in the creation and the beginnings of the CIB, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 13,050, for the study of adapting infrastructure to face climate change, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1,750, for the study of the Main Estimates 2023-24, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1,750, for the study of subject matter of supplementary estimates (C), 2022-23, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 19,100, for the study of project of high frequency rail between Quebec City, between Calgary and Banff and between Calgary and Edmonton, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 16,000, for the study of the operation of the small towing vessels on Canada’s west cost, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the large port infrastructure expansion projects in Canada.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 1:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
