Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a chair.

On motion of Helena Jaczek, it was agreed, — That Valerie Bradford be elected Chair of the committee.

At 11:04 a.m., Valerie Bradford took the Chair.

At 11:05 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:09 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i) and the motions adopted by the committee on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, and Thursday, February 15, 2024, the committee resumed its study of the distribution of federal government funding among Canada's post-secondary institutions.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of the study of the distribution of federal government funding among Canada's post-secondary institutions, the deadline for the submission of briefs be no later than Friday, May 24, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 18, 2023, the committee resumed its study of the integration of indigenous traditional knowledge and science in government policy development.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 11:53 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
