Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of government measures to protect and promote French in Quebec and in Canada.

Lily Crist, Robert Laplante and Mark Power made statements and answered questions.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:38 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Frédéric Lacroix, Angela Cassie and Karl Blackburn made statements and, with Denis Hamel and Daniel Boucher, answered questions.

Committee Business
The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That members of the committee submit their list of suggested witnesses in relation to the study of Francophone immigration to Canada and Quebec to the clerk of the committee no later than Friday, February 18, 2022, at noon (EST).

At 5:34 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
