It was agreed, — That members of the committee submit their list of suggested witnesses in relation to the study of Bill C-13, An Act to amend the Official Languages Act, to enact the Use of French in Federally Regulated Private Businesses Act and to make related amendments to other Acts, to the clerk of the committee no later than Friday, June 3, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. (ET).
It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Bill C-13, An Act to amend the Official Languages Act, to enact the Use of French in Federally Regulated Private Businesses Act and to make related amendments to other Acts, the committee invite:
- the Minister of Official Languages, the Minister of Canadian Heritage, the President of the Treasury Board, the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada for respective two-hour meetings, as soon as possible;
- the Commissioner of Official Languages for a one-hour meeting on Wednesday, June 15, 2022; and
- the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes du Canada for a two-hour meeting, as soon as possible.
At 5:25 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
