The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $7,975, for the study of Bill C-9, An Act to amend the Judges Act be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study to review available international mechanisms to hold state parties and others accountable for International Atrocity Crimes (war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide), the proposed budget in the amount of $136,536.92, for the committee’s travel to the Netherlands and Switzerland in Winter - Spring 2023, be adopted and that the Chair present the said budget to the Liaison Committee.

At 11:44 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:53 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the committee resumed its study of government's obligations to victims of crime.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 12:57 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
