Pursuant to the order of reference of Thursday, September 29, 2022, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-29, An Act to provide for the establishment of a national council for reconciliation.

Karen R. Restoule, Karla Buffalo and Clarence T. (Manny) Jules made statements and answered questions.

At 11:59 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:01 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Jacqueline Prosper, Garry Bailey and Brandy Stanovich made statements and, with Celeste Sulliman, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the deadline to submit to the clerk amendments to Bill C-29, An Act to provide for the establishment of a national council for reconciliation, be modified to Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at noon.

At 1:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
