Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, October 17, 2022, the committee resumed its study of financialization of housing.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 12:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:08 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the notice of meeting for Wednesday, September 27, 2023, and as per the letter received by the committee from the new Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities requesting to appear; that the committee formally request that the Minister appear for the entirety of the two hour meeting on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, that only the Minister be permitted to deliver a five minute opening statement, and that the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Deputy Minister of the Office of Infrastructure of Canada be invited to appear for two hours at a later date.

At 12:36 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:43 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 12:53 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
