Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, the subcommittee proceeded to a briefing on the persecution of religious and ethnic minorities in Afghanistan, including but not limited to the situation of Hazaras, Sikhs, and Hindus.

Balpreet Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Tarjinder Kaur Bhullar and Ali Mirzad made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 8:00 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the subcommittee continue to sit.

At 8:07 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
