Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the committee proceeded to a briefing by the Department of Environment.

Hilary Geller, Jacqueline Gonçalves, Matt Jones, Diane Campbell, Sue Milburn-Hopwood, Helen Ryan and Anne-Marie Pelletier made statements and, with Judy Meltzer and Catherine Stewart, answered questions.

At 10:36 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:37 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a second vice-chair.

On motion of Peter Schiefke, it was agreed, — That Monique Pauzé be elected vice-chair of the committee.

At 10:39 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
