Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, February 7, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of water quality.

Sal Iannello, by videoconference from Welland, Ontario, Stephen Craik, by videoconference from Edmonton, Alberta, Marie-Claude Guérin, by teleconference from Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and Michèle Prévost, by videoconference from Montréal, Quebec, made statements and answered questions.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:47 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, October 25, 2017, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-344, An Act to amend the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act (community benefit).

The witness made a statement and answered questions.

At 5:13 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:14 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-344, An Act to amend the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act (community benefit), on Thursday, December 7, 2017; and that members submit their suggested amendments to the Clerk of the Committee no later than 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

It was agreed, — That the evidence heard and documentation received by the Committee in relation to its study of Bill C-227 this session be taken into consideration by the Committee in its study of Bill C-344.

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
