Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, December 11, 2017, the Committee resumed its study on the current state and future of national energy data.

Allan Fogwill, Nichole Dusyk and Benjamin Israël made statements and answered questions.

At 9:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:50 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Bruce A. Lourie and Donald Mustard made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Jamie Schmale moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite to appear once again the following witnesses: Greg Peterson, Director General, Agriculture, Energy, Environment and Transportation Statistics, Statistics Canada; René Beaudoin, Assistant Director, Environment, Energy and Transportation Statistics Division, Statistics Canada; Derek Hermanutz, Director General, Economic Analysis Directorate, Strategic Policy Branch, Department of Environment; Jacqueline Gonçalves, Director General, Science and Risk Assessment, Statistics Canada; Tonja Leach, Managing Director, and Bruce Cameron, Senior Advisor and Consultant, Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow; in order to provide additional testimony and clarity related to the study on the current state and future of national energy data.
