Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 2, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of the creation of an independent commissioner responsible for leaders’ debates.

Catherine Kumar, by videoconference from El Socorro, Trinidad and Tobago, made a statement and, with Angella Persad, by videoconference from El Socorro, Trinidad and Tobago, answered questions.

At 11:41 p.m., Scott Reid took the Chair.

At 11:57 p.m., Larry Bagnell took the Chair.

At 11:59 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Noel daCosta, by videoconference from Kingston, Jamaica, made a statement and, with Trevor Fearon, by videoconference from Kingston, Jamaica, answered questions.

At 12:57 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
