Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, the Committee commenced its study of the Defence Procurement Strategy.

Lisa Campbell made a statement and, with Patrick Finn and Jeffery Hutchinson, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the documents entitled "Phases of the National Shipbuilding Strategy", "News Release: Government of Canada Announces Way Forward for National Shipbuilding Strategy", "Extract of Evidence, Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans, Meeting number 031, Tuesday, December 2, 2014", "Contract History: Vancouver Shipyards Co Ltd (EN578-150010/001/SLE/005)", "Tender Award: Marine Architect and Engineering Services (F7013-140003/001/NQ) and "Contract History: Vancouver Shipyards Co Ltd (F7013-140003/001/NQ~001)", be distributed.

At 5:04 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:09 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Fifth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, regarding the study of Canada Post:

- seven (7) members of the Committee travel to Corner Brook and St. John’s, Newfoundland, Sydney and Halifax, Nova Scotia, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Bathurst, New Brunswick, Levis, Quebec City, Blainville and Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Kitchener, Windsor, Dryden, and Sandy Lake First Nation, Ontario, Surrey, British Columbia, Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Regina and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the fall of 2016, and that the necessary staff accompany the Committee;

- the Committee conduct e-consultations with Canadians in September and October 2016; and

- the Committee present a report in the House by December 2016.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
