The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee undertake a study on Canada and the Ukraine Crisis.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, October 16, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of Canada and the Ukraine crisis.

Taras Kuzio, by videoconference from Amsterdam, Netherlands, Peggy Mason and Lubomyr Luciuk made statements and answered questions.

At 5:12 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:17 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $19,500.00, for the study of Canada and the Ukraine Crisis, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Committee undertake a day of travel to Petawawa between January 2018 and March 2018 as part of its study on Canada's involvement in NATO, and that the necessary staff accompany the Committee.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Canada's involvement in NATO, the proposed budget in the amount of $29,050.00 be adopted.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
