Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 25, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of Canada and the Defence of North America.

Rear-Admiral John Newton, and Rear-Admiral Art McDonald, by videoconference from Esquimalt, British Columbia, made statements and answered questions.

At 12:49 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:52 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, the new proposed budget in the amount of $65,050.11, for the travel of ten (10) members accompanied by the necessary staff to Washington D.C., United States of America, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Committee do now adjourn.

At 12:54 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
