Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday May 4, 2016, the Committee resumed its study on the Roadmap and immigration in francophone minority communities.

At 9:55 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:05 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Official Languages Secretariat of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to appear on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, for a period of one (1) hour for the study on the Roadmap and immigration in francophone minority communities.

It was agreed, — That the Committee devote one (1) hour of its meeting on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, to considering the draft outline of the report for its study on the Roadmap and immigration in francophone minority communities; and that the Committee devote two (2) hours to considering the draft outline if the officials from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada are not available on that date.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Treasury Board Secretariat to appear before the Committee as soon as possible for a briefing session on all aspects of accountability concerning official languages.

At 10:43 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
