Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Committee resumed its study of online hate.

Mohamed Labidi, by videoconference from Québec, Quebec, Jasmin Zine, Bernie M. Faber and Mustafa Farooq made statements and, with Seifeddine Essid and Leila Nasr, answered questions.

At 9:47 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:51 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Robert Dennis, by videoconference from Kingston, Ontario, Leslie Rosenblood and Andrew P.W. Bennett made statements and, with Greg Oliver, answered questions.

At 10:46 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:47 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, since no comments were received about the Committee’s calendar or the draft letters to Facebook, Alphabet, Twitter and Reddit, they be deemed adopted.

At 10:52 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
