Arnold Viersen moved, — That, in light of the interim report published by the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls on November 1, 2017, the challenges highlighted by the Commissioners related to working with the Government of Canada and the Privy Council Office and the Commissioners’ seven (7) procedural recommendations, the Committee invite the Privy Council Office to appear before the Committee to respond.
Gary Anandasangaree moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.
The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 5; NAYS: 4.
At 12:10 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 12:16 p.m., the sitting resumed.
It was agreed, — That one hour of the meeting be dedicated to the consideration of matters related to Committee business on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
