The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the development of a national pharmacare program, the Chair contact the Parliamentary Budget Officer to:

(a) request that his analysis be finished by Monday, May 1, 2017, and that, if not feasible, the Parliamentary Budget Officer be invited to appear before the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure to negotiate a schedule; and
(b) request that his analysis include the World Health Organization formulary.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the development of a national pharmacare program, one meeting be dedicated to the hearing of witnesses regarding the New Zealand experience.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the development of a national pharmacare program, a preliminary travel submission be submitted to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the current blood donation restrictions on men who have sex with men, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health be invited to appear.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of public health effects of online violent and degrading sexually explicit material on children, women and men, the Committee dedicate one meeting to hear the sponsor of the motion M-47 and officials from the related departments.

At 12:00 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
