The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Motion

Bernadette Jordan moved, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, and departmental officials, to appear on April 19th for a two (2) hour meeting, to discuss his mandate letter and the Main Estimates 2016-17.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 3.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 18, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Closure of the Comox MCTS Station of the Canadian Coast Guard.

Allan Hughes and Fred Moxey made statements and answered questions.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Jody Thomas made a statement and, with Mario Pelletier and Brian Bain, answered questions.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
