Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the Committee proceeded to a briefing on the 2015 United Nations Population Fund State of World Population Report.

Babatunde Osotimehin made a statement and answered questions.

At 4:48 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:52 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the Committee commenced its study on women, peace and security.

Tamara Guttman made a statement and, with Julie Shouldice and Anthony Anderson, answered questions.

At 5:48 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:54 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $37,300.00, for the study on Women, Peace and Security, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure meet after the Committee adjourns on Tuesdays to discuss future business.

It was agreed, — That notwithstanding the decision that the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure would meet on Tuesdays after the Committee ajourns, that the Subcommittee will meet on Tuesday, March 22 at 9:00 a.m.

At 6:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
