Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 18, 2016, the Committee proceeded to a Briefing Session on the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

Steve Verheul made a statement and answered questions.

At 10:07 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:16 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That in relation to its pre-study of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), the proposed budget in the amount of $101,955.00, for the Committee’s travel to Vancouver, B.C., Calgary, Alberta, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, Manitoba, in spring 2016, be adopted and that the Chair present the said budget to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare draft budgets respecting the Committee's proposed travel, in relation to its pre-study of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), for consideration by the Committee.

At 10:56 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
