Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 30 2018, the Committee resumed its study of the Government of Canada's support for the international trade of small and medium-sized businesses.

Avvey Peters, Shelley Bacon, Carla Arsenault and Philippe Noël made statements and, with Todd Stafford, answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $11,205, for the study of the impact of tariffs on Canadian businesses, companies and workers, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the motion adopted on Thursday, November 22, 2018, concerning the request for a travel budget to Mexico City, Mexico, Querétaro, Mexico, Santiago, Chile, and Lima, Peru, in the winter of 2019, in regards with the Committee’s study of a potential accord between Canada and the Pacific Alliance Region, be rescinded.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the potential agreement between Canada and the Pacific Alliance, the proposed budget in the amount of $157,608.84, for the Committee’s travel to Mexico City, Mexico, Querétaro, Mexico, Santiago, Chile, Valparaiso, Chile, and Lima, Peru, in the winter of 2019, be adopted, and that the Clerk be authorized to purchase appropriate gifts and make the necessary arrangements for meals and receptions during the Committee's travel.

At 12:42 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
