Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, April 23, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of mental health challenges that Canadian farmers, ranchers, and producers face.

Ted Menzies and Rick James-Davies made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Earl Dreeshen moved, — That the Committee request the testimony of representatives from Farm Credit Canada, 4-H Canada and Farm Management Canada to explain how their programs will address the mental health needs of those in the agricultural sector and that their testimony be included in the Committee’s study on the mental health challenges that Canadian farmers, ranchers, and producers face.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 9:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:49 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Karen R. Cohen and Mary Robinson made statements and answered questions.

At 10:06 a.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 10:11 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
