The Subcommittee on Solicitation Laws of the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness met at 8:40 a.m. this day, in the Alfred Rouleau AB meeting room, Hyatt Regency Montreal, Montreal, Quebec, the Chair, John Maloney, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Paule Brunelle, Libby Davies, Hedy Fry, Art Hanger and John Maloney.

 

Other Members present: Réal Ménard.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness on November 24, 2004, the Subcommittee resumed its study of Solicitation Laws.
 

Mario Leclerc, Raymond Viger, Agnès Connat, Lynn Dion and Diane Matte made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 10:51 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:59 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Lise Béland, Paul Boyer, Catherine Prévost, Pierrette Thomas, Marlène Caron and Pat Nowakowska made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 11:25 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:42 a.m., the sitting resumed.
