    Pursuant to Standing Order 106(1), your first order of business is to elect a chair. I'm ready to receive motions to that effect.

    Mrs. Carol Skelton (Saskatoon—Rosetown—Biggar, CPC): Madam Chair, I would like to nominate Mr. Boshcoff.

    The Clerk: Are there any other nominations?

    Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt this motion?

    The Clerk: I declare Mr. Boshcoff duly elected chair of the committee.

    I'll now go to the election of a vice-chair. I'm now prepared to receive nominations for vice-chair.

    I declare this first meeting of the fiscal season now in session.

    We begin this task of trying to accommodate five separate lives and coordinate them into the available time.

    The Chair: —has indicated a series of times they would prefer, which are pretty crummy for me.
