The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 8:36 a.m. this day, in the Salon Cartier, Hotel Mariott Château Champlain, Montreal, Quebec, the Chair, Marlene Catterall, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Charlie Angus, Sarmite Bulte, Marlene Catterall, Maka Kotto, Marc Lemay, Bev Oda, Gary Schellenberger and Mario Silva.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Joseph Jackson, Senior Analyst; Sam Banks, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Cinematheque quebecoise : Yolande Racine, Chief Executive Officer; Pierre Jutras, Director, Conservation and program; Kevin Tierney, President. Association nationale des doubleurs professionnels: Guylaine Chénier, Director, Dubbing, Technicolor. Société des auteurs de radio, télévision et cinéma: Mario Bolduc, Vice-President; Joanne Arseneau, Secretary, Board of Directors. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of Canadian Feature Film Industry.
 
Yolande Racine made an opening statement.
 
Guylaine Chénier made an opening statement and answered questions.
