MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 4

Wednesday, March 14, 2001

The Sub-Committee on Private Members' Business of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 3:45 p.m. this day, in Room 306, West Block, the Chair, Carolyn Parrish, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Rick Borotsik, Garry Breitkreuz, Michel Guimond, Carolyn Parrish and Marcel Proulx.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.

The Sub-Committee proceeded to consider Standing Order 87(6) and related matters, pursuant to the orders of reference of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, dated February 15 and March 1st, 2001.

It was agreed, - That a draft questionnaire be prepared to canvass the views of all Members with respect to Private Members' votable items and related matters.

It was agreed, - That alternatives or options to Standing Order 87(6) be prepared by the researcher.

At 4:05 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
