The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:12 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Wayne Easter, Georges Farrah, Loyola Hearn, Dominic LeBlanc, James Lunney, Jean-Yves Roy, Peter Stoffer.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From the Fisheries and Oceans: Paul Sprout, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister, Fisheries Management; Catrina Tapley, Director, AFPR and National Policy Framework; Michelle Doucet, Director, Program Development, Fisheries Renewal. From the Independent Panel on Access Criteria: Arthur Kroeger, Chair; Martha Jackman, Member.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), meeting on the Atlantic Fisheries Policy and Access Criteria

Paul Sprout made a presentation and answered questions.

Arthur Kroeger made a statement and, with Martha Jackman, answered questions.

At 11:05 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
